How to get booked

Cameron Brumbelow

Angry Elf Entertainment

We book lots of local talent for the movies we film here in the Tampa Bay Area. Here are some insights on how to get booked if your new to the area, or new to the industry.

Casting Websites We Use

If you are represented by an agent, you most likely already have a profile on both Casting Networks and Actors Access. Currently our casting directors only use Actors Access to cast speaking roles in our films. Even if you do not have an agent, our castings do allow you to self-submit, and you still have an equal chance of being booked. Actors Access does charge a small fee for self submissions.

Casting Directors

It can help you keep up with current castings if you follow our casting directors on social media. Currently, the casting directors we use are Ricki Maslar, Jeff Hardwick, and Karlie Loland Ringer.

Background Talent – Extras

In addition to casting speaking roles, we also use Karlie Loland Ringer and KLR Creative Group to cast our non-speaking roles. This is a great way to get experience on a real movie set if you are new to the industry, but most agents will not want you to list extras work on your resume. These roles are still crucial to the films, and a great way to network with other actors! These roles are posted on social media and the KLR Creative Group website only, and you would submit directly to Karlie rather than through Actors Access for these roles. It is not a bad idea to simply submit your headshot and resume directly to Karlie so she can add you to her database. Once you are established as a reliable talent, she may reach out to you directly for a project without you even needing to submit!

We hope you found this information useful. Our next feature film titled “Let’s Murder Like it’s 1999” will be casting soon, and we will make another post when it does. Don’t be shy, we are always on the lookout for new faces and strong talent, so start submitting!!!
