Film Production
Angry Elf Entertainment manages the full production lifecycle — concept through camera wrap — with a crew and infrastructure rooted in Florida's thriving film ecosystem. Whether you're shooting an independent feature, a short film, a commercial, or a branded series, we deliver cinematic results on any budget.

Why Film in Florida?
Florida's year-round sunshine, diverse landscapes, and growing crew base make it one of the most production-friendly states in the country. From the Gulf Coast beaches of Tampa Bay to the art deco streets of Miami, the swamps and springs of Central Florida, and the Space Coast, no other state offers this much visual variety without crossing state lines.
Hillsborough County's Economic Development Division offers a 10% production rebate on qualified local spend for projects filming in the county with budgets over $100,000. Florida Enterprise Zone programs and county-level incentives can stack to meaningfully reduce your above-the-line costs.
Post-Production
The story is made in the edit. Angry Elf's post-production pipeline turns raw footage into polished, deliverable content — from a rough assembly cut to DCP mastering — using industry-standard tools and seasoned artists.
Editorial
Our editorial team guides your film from assembly cut to picture lock. We believe editing is a craft — pacing, rhythm, and performance selection are every bit as important as the footage you captured on set. We collaborate directly with directors to realize their vision while keeping one eye on audience experience.
- Offline and online editorial
- Director's cut, rough cut, fine cut, and picture lock
- Trailer and promo cuts for marketing and festivals
- Multi-cam editing for live performance and events
Color Grading
Color is the emotional language of film. Our colorists work in DaVinci Resolve Studio on calibrated P3-D65 displays, delivering grades for theatrical (DCI P3), broadcast (Rec.709), and HDR (HDR10/Dolby Vision) simultaneously. Florida's warm, sun-drenched natural palette lends itself beautifully to cinematic grades.
- Primary and secondary color correction
- HDR10 and Dolby Vision mastering
- LUT creation for on-set reference monitors
- VFX plate integration and composite grading
Sound Design & Mix
Great sound is 50% of the cinematic experience. We offer a full audio post pipeline: dialogue editing and ADR, Foley, sound design, original score integration, and final mixing to Dolby Atmos, 5.1 surround, or stereo. Our deliverables meet all major broadcaster and streaming platform loudness standards (LKFS, -14 LUFS).
- Dialogue cleanup (iZotope RX, auto-sync)
- ADR recording and editorial
- Foley and sound effects design
- Dolby Atmos 7.1.4, 5.1, and stereo deliverables
- M&E mix for international versioning
Visual Effects (VFX)
From invisible wire removal and sky replacements to full CG environments, our VFX team handles everything from budget-conscious indie corrections to high-end compositing. Florida's naturally dramatic skies, turquoise waters, and subtropical settings are VFX canvases in their own right — but we can take you anywhere.
- Green screen / blue screen compositing
- Matte painting and environment extensions
- Title design and motion graphics
- Crowd duplication and set extensions
- Clean-up, paint-out, and wire removal
Distribution
Making a great film is only half the battle. Angry Elf Entertainment navigates the complex, ever-shifting distribution landscape to connect your project with audiences — on streaming platforms, at film festivals, in theaters, and through digital and physical sales channels.
Streaming & SVOD Placement
The streaming landscape now accounts for over 80% of independent film viewership. We work with established aggregators and direct relationships to place your film on the platforms your audience actually uses — from the major SVOD services to niche AVOD platforms where independent content thrives.
- Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, and Apple TV+ submissions
- Free ad-supported TV (FAST): Tubi, Pluto TV, Peacock Free, Plex, Roku Channel
- Aggregator management: Distribber, Bitmax, Quiver Digital, DistroKid Film
- Platform-compliant delivery packages (IMF, ProRes, closed captions, metadata)
- Revenue reporting and royalty collection oversight
Film Festival Strategy
A smart festival run builds critical credibility, attracts buyers, and creates the press momentum a film needs before a wider release. Florida is home to a vibrant festival circuit — from Tampa Bay International Film Festival and Sarasota Film Festival to Florida Film Festival (Orlando) and Miami Film Festival — giving locally produced films a strong regional launch pad.
- Festival strategy consulting — tier selection for your genre and budget
- Submission scheduling and Filmfreeway/WithoutABox management
- Press kit preparation: EPK, stills, trailers, behind-the-scenes
- Review copy preparation (screeners, secure links)
- Award campaign planning (qualifying runs for Oscar, Emmy, Grammy eligibility)
Theatrical & Semi-Theatrical
Not every film needs a wide theatrical release — but a strategic limited run in key markets creates the critical mass that drives streaming numbers. We coordinate with arthouse exhibitors, four-wall bookings, and community screening programs across Florida's major markets: Tampa / St. Petersburg, Orlando, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville, and Sarasota.
- Limited and platform release planning
- DCP mastering and KDM management for theatrical exhibition
- Four-wall bookings and special event screenings
- Drive-in and outdoor screening logistics
Marketing & Audience Development
Distribution without marketing is a tree falling in an empty forest. We help build the audience around your film before release day — through targeted social campaigns, influencer outreach, earned media, and community partnerships. Florida's diverse, culturally rich population offers strong organic audiences for both English-language and Spanish-language content.
- Social media campaign strategy and execution
- Official trailer and teaser cut consultation
- Poster design, one-sheet, and digital key art
- Press outreach and review embargo management
- Spanish-language marketing for South Florida and Latin American markets
Casting Services
The right cast can make or break a film. Angry Elf Entertainment's casting pipeline draws from Florida's deep and diverse talent pool — SAG-AFTRA and non-union — with direct relationships across the state's major acting markets and a proprietary actor database managed through our online Actor Portal.
Our Casting Process
Casting begins during development — long before the shoot. We work from the script to build character breakdowns, identify union obligations, and develop a casting strategy that aligns with the budget and the director's vision. Whether you need a single lead or a full ensemble, our process is collaborative, efficient, and thorough.
- Script analysis and character breakdown preparation
- SAG-AFTRA and non-union casting strategy
- Actor outreach via portal, agencies, and direct contact
- In-person and self-tape audition coordination
- Callback sessions and chemistry reads
- Offer management and deal memo preparation
- Background and day-player casting
Florida Talent Landscape
Florida's talent base is broader and deeper than many producers expect. The state has produced Oscar and Emmy winners, a flourishing Spanish-language talent community (particularly in Miami and Tampa), a large stunt performer community built around the theme park industry in Central Florida, and a growing pool of young talent from FSU Film School, Full Sail University, UCF, and the University of South Florida.
Tampa Bay itself is home to a well-established local film community with hundreds of working actors, a SAG-AFTRA affiliate presence, multiple acting studios, and a tradition of commercial, TV, and independent film production dating back decades.
- Lead and supporting SAG-AFTRA principal casting
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) casting for Latin market productions
- Stunt casting and coordination (Central FL stunt community)
- Child actor casting with on-set guardian coordination
- Real people and "real look" casting for documentary-style productions
Open Casting Calls
Angry Elf Entertainment regularly holds open casting calls in the Tampa Bay area for current and upcoming productions. All calls are posted on our Casting Calls page and shared across our social channels and Actor Portal. We encourage Florida-based talent of all experience levels to keep their portal profiles current.
