Casting begins during development — long before the shoot. We work from the script to build character breakdowns, identify union obligations, and develop a casting strategy that aligns with the budget and the director's vision. Whether you need a single lead or a full ensemble, our process is collaborative, efficient, and thorough.

Florida Talent Landscape

Florida's talent base is broader and deeper than many producers expect. The state has produced Oscar and Emmy winners, a flourishing Spanish-language talent community (particularly in Miami and Tampa), a large stunt performer community built around the theme park industry in Central Florida, and a growing pool of young talent from FSU Film School, Full Sail University, UCF, and the University of South Florida.

Tampa Bay itself is home to a well-established local film community with hundreds of working actors, a SAG-AFTRA affiliate presence, multiple professional acting studios, and a tradition of commercial, TV, and independent film production dating back decades.

Angry Elf Entertainment regularly holds open casting calls in the Tampa Bay area for current and upcoming productions. All calls are posted on our Casting Calls page and shared across our social channels and Actor Portal. We encourage Florida-based talent of all experience levels to keep their portal profiles current — our casting team reviews submissions on every new project.

Casting for Producers & Directors

We also offer casting services to outside productions filming in Florida. If you're bringing your project to the Sunshine State and need local casting support — including location casting, background casting, and production office services — our team is available for hire on a project basis.
